This release puts ease of use front and centre: with the new Cmd+K command palette, a search-as-you-type in the new layout that is finally fully functional and the thoroughly reworked Helpdesk 2.0, daily work in go~mus becomes noticeably faster and more intuitive. At the same time we keep pushing the move to the modern layout V5, numerous constants modules, the go~mail outbox and further admin pages now appear in the uniform, tidy design with consistent icons. On top of that we bring extensive new analysis features, more flexible POS control per shop and numerous performance improvements that speed up search and list views in particular. Last but not least, we closed several security-relevant topics and fixed many smaller bugs.
The update rolls out in waves between 6 July and 27 July 2026, as usual. For any questions please reach out to support@giantmonkey.de.
What's new
Layout V5 rollout
After the previous layout V4 shaped go~mus for almost a decade, a new era now begins. Layout V5 arrives and is designed to enable a seamless transition. The new layout looks very similar but is technically more modern and has a focus on web accessibility. Many V5 functions can be operated directly via keyboard.
New modules and functions are now only built in layout V5, and existing modules are migrated step by step. A large part of the admin area has already been moved to the modern layout V5: this includes all constants modules such as age groups, languages or countries, the go~mail outbox in the new email-app design with improved search, as well as further admin pages such as tenant settings, version, payment methods and content attributes. This broad migration ensures a consistently more uniform appearance, consistent icons and an overall more pleasant experience across the entire admin area.
- Uniform icons and better contrast
- Improved accessibility
- More modern web technologies
Cmd+K command palette for fast navigation
From now on, a keyboard-driven command palette is available on every admin page, both in the previous and the new layout. With Cmd+K (macOS) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) you open a fuzzy search from anywhere, navigate with the arrow keys and jump straight to the desired page with Enter. Each hit also shows its parent area, so even with similar labels you immediately find the right page. This makes daily navigation considerably faster, especially for power users.
- Instant access to every admin page via keyboard
- Fuzzy search with area context
- Available in the old and new layout
Search-as-you-type in the new V5 header
The previously inactive search field in the header of the new layout is now fully functional. Results appear live in a dropdown, cleanly grouped by data type such as customers, bookings or invoices, and can be operated entirely via keyboard. The search uses the same permission-checked queries as the classic search, so you still only see what you are allowed to access.
- Live results without a page change
- Clear grouping by model
- Full keyboard operation
Helpdesk 2.0 activated for all instances
Our new, much more modern helpdesk finally replaces the previous Confluence-based system. It brings a reworked navigation structure with clear thematic categories, a visible marking of internal or maintenance-side articles, a new uniform icon system and noticeably faster load times. All help links within the application have been consistently switched to the new articles, so a click on a help hint always lands you directly in the right, current article.
- New, clearly structured categories
- Faster navigation
- Consistent linking from across the application
Developer portal on gomus.de
With the rework of gomus.de we documented all functions and modules centrally and published a dedicated developer portal at www.gomus.de/en/development. It bundles in one place what go~mus connects to technically in terms of open systems and existing infrastructure.
For evaluation as part of a tender, the portal demonstrates the connectivity of go~mus: a documented REST API, embeddable web components (ticket selection, calendar, cart, checkout) and iframe widgets for a website-less entry point, plus standard integrations with POS systems, payment providers, CRM systems, multipass platforms, channel managers and access control. Regulatory requirements are addressed too, for example the refund button mandatory since 19 June 2026.
For the technical implementation, IT managers and integration partners find everything they need cleanly prepared: quickstart, authentication, API concepts and practical integration scenarios, references for web components and widgets, documentation of the apps (go~scanner, ticketing app) as well as prepared context material for AI assistants.
Features
Capacity analysis with reseller/OTA breakdown
The capacity analysis shows preset, editing, sales per channel and remaining capacity including a utilisation rate per time slot. Filters, heatmap, top/idle slots, channel mix, daily drilldown and a new donut chart breaking down reseller API sales by OTA (e.g. GetYourGuide, Tiqets) round off the picture.
Chart downloads for analyses
All charts in the visitor-origin and capacity analysis areas can be downloaded directly as PNG or SVG via a uniform menu, handy for presentations and reports.
Guide fee settlement as a modern analysis
The previous fee settlement was replaced by a new analysis page with filters, statistics and Excel export. The Excel settlement export remains unchanged in content, so you can simply continue your usual settlement processes.
Event trigger per booking for groups
A new trigger type enables emails per individual booking instead of per entire order, with correctly resolved booking and appointment placeholders, ideal for B2B group visits with multiple appointments.
Disposition calendar: filter by room
Alongside the museum filter, a room filter is now available too. In addition, a display error with external appointments was fixed.
Inline editing of additional booking information
Additional information on a booking can be adjusted directly via an editing modal, without having to run through the original entry process again.
Bulk editing in admin list views
Ticket and PDF Template rows can be selected individually or completely by filter, in order to change, for example, passbook layouts or PDF backgrounds for several entries at once.
Duplicating tickets now carries over all assignments
When duplicating a ticket, all configurations and assignments of the original are now copied along, not just the visible form fields.
Product categories can be archived
Product categories can now be archived and restored, with a matching filter in the overview.
Warning on a duplicate action code
When creating an action token you receive a hint if the code is already in use, while creating it remains possible.
POS fine-tuning per shop
You can now show or hide numerous POS functions specifically per shop, for example the upselling overlay, dashboard buttons, cancellation actions or action codes, centrally via a new admin sub-page, entirely without development effort.
Changes
Numerous performance improvements noticeably speed up frequently used areas: customer search benefits from new indexes and a faster query path, dashboard widgets and booking, offer and ticket lists load noticeably faster, and full-text search now uses its own searchable index table instead of slow text queries. Navigation and menu are cached too and therefore start up considerably quicker.
Reseller sales were separated from shop sales as an independent sales channel. This lets you configure languages, equipment and visibilities independently for shop and reseller in future.
We have caught up on numerous translations for Dutch, French, Luxembourgish and English: mailer templates are now fully localised, public holidays for Belgium and the Netherlands were added through 2027, and various form hints, statistics labels and shop texts were corrected.
When duplicating tickets, newly created master data is now correctly pre-filled for all languages instead of only German with a fallback. In addition, the single-entry rule for tickets is now consistently enforced during POS sales too, so tickets configured accordingly are reliably invalidated after a single scan, uniformly across POS, handheld scanner and further validation paths.
Security
We closed several security-relevant issues that require no action from you but are important for the protection of your data: an insecure data processing in the entry API was fixed, as was a data leak through which "saved" products could be visible across museums, plus a vulnerability in access to helpdesk files. Internal helpdesk articles are now also strictly limited to the internal instance.
In addition, several underlying software libraries were updated to close known security gaps, among others regarding connection security and certificate validation. The access check for staff-internal-only helpdesk content was also hardened and the affected articles classified correctly.
Bugfixes
- Invoices and tax statement corrected - The statement of the VAT exemption on invoices and in structured files (XRechnung/ZUGFeRD) was corrected to be legally sound, and duplicate correction invoices and blocked collective invoices were fixed.
- Excel exports corrected - Monetary amounts are now exported as real numbers instead of text, sum formulas work correctly again.
- Translation errors fixed - Numerous hard-coded German texts in statistics, in the application wizard, in search and book and in the two-factor login were replaced by real translations.
- Ticket and booking management stabilised - Individual end dates of annual passes now stay saved permanently, duplicating no longer accidentally deletes payment methods, ID badges link correctly.
- Fewer false error reports in the background - Expected situations such as sold-out quotas or expired guest sessions are no longer wrongly reported as critical errors.
- Numerous further detail fixes - Among them search results with "&" characters, superfluous shipping notes with PayPal, form entries with leading commas, duplicate booking buttons and the mobile display of the booking-options menu.
go~mus + interfaces
The PayPal integration was stabilised in several points: capture errors for already cancelled orders are avoided, shipping notes are dropped for purely digital tickets, donations are correctly accounted for in PayPal Express payments, and voucher-covered amounts are correctly transmitted as a discount.
The Korona integration was made more robust: deactivated cloud accounts no longer lead to repeated errors, unknown status values are tolerated, and invoice pushes for POS sales are correctly skipped.
In addition, the shop event calendar no longer shows appointments whose products are not released for online sale at all, and a duplicate error with external barcode scan events was fixed.
go~mus shop
As part of our improvements we thoroughly reworked the shop front-end technology and can now roll out new functions and designs for the standard shops. This not only expands the range of possible integrations (more info here on our website). The quality of the new shops in terms of SEO, a11y and performance also rises considerably. New shops can be read better by AI agents and support the most modern technical standards. If you are interested in an update, feel free to reach out to our sales team.
go~mus + POS
Unpaid POS 2.0 orders, for example due to a cancellation at the terminal, are automatically cancelled after a configurable deadline and therefore no longer block quotas unnecessarily. Orders that were already scanned or invoiced are exempt from this.
In addition, for tours and events the POS now correctly takes into account which offers are released for POS sales, and the maximum number of participants per order is correctly respected during seat selection.
