This release makes go~mus faster in everyday use: over several months we tracked which pages and interfaces take the longest in museum operations, and then sped those up one after another. There is also a new sales report, a seating chart editor built into go~mus, and a connection to the BeckerBillett ticketing system. The improvements take effect automatically; nothing changes in terms of functionality or the data displayed.
The update rolls out in waves between 14 September and 28 September 2026, as usual. For any questions please reach out to support@giantmonkey.de.
What's new
Shorter waiting times in daily work
When searching and booking, the ticket search, the product search for tours and events, the booking assistant with its availability check, guide step and weekly calendar, and the guide requests overview all respond faster. Lists in daily use in particular load faster: customer list, ticket sales, booking list, product list, order details, invoicing, the start page with its statistics, and the menu and navigation. In scheduling this applies to the scheduling and guide calendars including the sold-out display, and at the POS (POS 2.0) to the dashboard, order overview and ticket selection.
Those who integrate go~mus via the API, for their own shops, websites, reseller platforms, apps or a CRM, get faster response times for filter and facet queries, tour and event lists, the ticket calendar and date lists. All responses stay identical in content, so nothing needs to be adjusted on the customer side.
Sales report: revenue, discounts and quantities in one place
Under Reports, a new report shows revenue, discounts granted and quantities from valid orders, broken down by product type, sales channel and time, optionally with a comparison period alongside. It is new and still in beta; anyone who would like to use it can get in touch with support.
BeckerBillett connected
Orders from go~mus are passed to the BeckerBillett TOP 3.0 ticketing system together with their tickets, family cards and articles, including articles without a link to an event and items covering several tickets. This interface is the first step towards the Global API of the Hamburg till manufacturer; more of that API is planned for coming releases.
Features
- Seating chart editor: Seating charts can be drawn and edited directly in go~mus, without an SVG file from an external program. The editor is new and still in beta; anyone who would like to try it out can get in touch with support.
- Filter orders by shop: Orders and their exports can be narrowed down by whether they come from the web shop, the POS, Self-Checkout or a WebComponents terminal.
- Archive ticket quotas: Ticket quotas can be archived just like coupons and tickets, with a filter for active, archived and all.
- Payment QR code on the order confirmation: For payment accounts in the EU (Girocode) and for the Swiss QR payment part, switched on in the confirmation template. Note: the QR codes are printed on the PDF order confirmation, not on PDF invoices.
- Capacity report in the menu: The capacity report is now open to everyone with read access to ticket quotas, not just to beta testers. It stays in beta and is most useful for museums with timed entry.
Changes
- Links in booking emails now only open the booking page; confirming, rejecting or cancelling takes a deliberate click on the page itself.
- The order confirmation is created in the language of the order, and its table labels can be adjusted under Translations.
- Many translations added and harmonised, above all for French, Dutch and Luxembourgish.
Security
Refunding payments now has a permission of its own, separate from taking payments, so refunds can be kept to a small circle. Guides set up two-factor login themselves in their profile options. Online payments come with extra protection against credit card fraud. Further technical hardening as well.
Bugfixes
- Invoices: Collective invoice and manual single invoice now rule each other out, and the note about VAT exemption appears reliably.
- Discounts: In select fields the saved discount stays selected when the field is opened, and tickets booked later on receive the institution discount.
go~mus + interfaces
- CRM: Valid entry scans are recorded as an activity on the contact, and memberships also transfer date of birth, end of validity and barcode number.
- KORONA: Membership types can be assigned to a customer group so that members receive their discount on the receipt; invoice receipts from the new POS 2.0 "pay by invoice" workflow are transferred.
go~mus shop
- Shop 2.0: One customer request can contain several items each with its own date, for example a school class across three days; logged-in customers see their previous requests and their price discount in the ticket list.
- Booking bundle: The complete go~mus booking comes onto an existing museum website with a single script tag, as an overlay or inline, styled in the museum's brand. More in the developer portal under Embed the bundle.
- Web components, generation 4: The component library for custom shop interfaces has reached version 4; among the new things is composing bundle tickets in the basket. Components, examples and changelog in the Storybook.
go~mus + POS
- Split orders: Selected articles move into a new partial order that is paid for separately.
- Customer address on the receipt: An address can be set at the touch of a button, and the KORONA customer number is created or reused.
- Self-Checkout Bridge (1.5.10): The terminals speak German, English, French and Dutch, switchable directly on the device. The maintenance menu shows network, printer and temperature, allows restarts and reprints of today's tickets.
