go~mus does not run solo. Over the years, deep integrations with systems important in museum operations have grown. This page is the overview: what is already there, with which partner, what for.
If you need a technical connection to one of these systems, you start here. If you are planning to connect a new system, you will know after reading whether something comparable already exists.
POS
Korona POS (Combase AG)
The central POS integration. Bidirectional sync: article master data from go~mus, receipt data and quotas from Korona.
- Korona Plugin API: JS plugin inside Korona talks to go~mus POS, covers sale, cancellation, reservation, tax rules.
- Korona SOAP Entry: callback channel from Korona to go~mus, validates tickets at the till.
- Korona Backend Sync: downstream processing of receipts, cancellations, ticket returns.
- Korona Resource (booking tool): bidirectional sync of events and seat reservations.
Used by most go~mus customers. More on the add-on page.
Beckerbillett TOP 3
Integration with Beckerbillett POS systems. Basic integration via the Beckerbillett Global API.
Payment service providers
go~mus bundles payment under go~pay. Behind it sits a list of concrete integrations:
- Adyen - recommended for most setups, broad method coverage
- Computop (Paygate) - redirect-based payment, hosted payment pages
- GiroCheckout - classic banking workflows
- PayPal - direct and via aggregators
- Pay-By-Link - go~mus-native workflow, create order, customer pays later via email link
Access control
go~mus covers the full entry installation, end-to-end: hand-held scanners, turnstiles, access gates, validation at the till, pass systems and more. Connections to the main vendors:
- Axess AG - turnstiles and access gates, often as a hybrid with the existing mechanics and a replaced scanner / display
- Korona - validation directly at the till via Korona POS
- Portalum - entry installations with turnstiles and access gates
- Hand-held scanners - affordable entry, smartphones or industrial scanners with the
go~scannerapp - Mobile device management - professional fleet management for scanners
Add-on: go~mus + entry.
CRM
Microsoft Dynamics 365 (via Azure Service Bus)
Bidirectional sync in near-realtime. Outbound: contact and order callbacks push via workers to Azure Service Bus queues. Inbound: D365 writes back. Status: production.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Brevo, others
Examples of CRM and marketing integrations via the Customer API: Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) are live in production. GDPR-compliant data exchange between go~mus and the external system.
More under go~mus + crm.
Multi-pass systems
go~mus integrates with validation APIs for regional and supra-regional multi-day passes. Cards are validated at your entry zones, scan events are reported back to the pass system.
- AVS Pass / Vienna Pass - AVS GmbH, REST API for validation at entry points
- BundesMuseenCard (BMC) - 8 Austrian federal museums, 25 sites, EUR 99 per year. VARIUSSYSTEMS API: validate, visitor records, card lock
- Feratel / RUHR.TOPCARD - Feratel media technologies AG, CheckAPI for pass validation in the Ruhr area
- OTIPass - regional museum passes in Germany, France, Switzerland. MPM API
- Berliner Museumspass - go~mus-native pass for Berlin museums, modelled end-to-end inside go~mus
- Berlin WelcomeCard all inclusive - validation and access handled end-to-end by the go~mus entry system, go~mus-native
Channel managers and resellers
The stack has shifted here in recent years.
Recommended today: ExperienceBank as channel manager.
ExperienceBank is a channel manager for museums and attractions, connecting go~mus venues centrally with additional reseller platforms such as GetYourGuide, Tiqets, Musement and other OTAs. One integration, many resellers. Instead of running each distribution partner individually through the go~mus reseller API, ExperienceBank handles routing, inventory sync and reseller-side billing.
Advantages over direct reseller API integration:
- One integration, many channels: ExperienceBank is already wired to the major OTAs. You do not run a custom integration project per reseller.
- Actively maintained: updates and new reseller platforms come via ExperienceBank, not via internal custom adapters on your side.
- Operational relief: inventory control, prices and availability handled centrally, instead of in parallel per partner.
The direct go~mus reseller API still exists and remains supported for legacy integrations. For new reseller integrations, ExperienceBank is the faster and better-maintained route.
→ Listing: Partner page (reseller category).
Other reseller partners (direct integration)
Some resellers are historically connected directly to the go~mus reseller API, including GetYourGuide and Tiqets. Existing customers stay on direct, new reseller integrations we recommend through ExperienceBank.
Apps and websites
Public API for CMS, apps, websites
Event calendars, content lists, booking widgets on external websites and apps. Read-only, master data and availability.
- Museumsdienst Berlin: deep integration of the public API for event calendar, school requests, group bookings
- Guidepilot, Kuldig: museum apps, read via the public API
Details: Website integration scenario.
What is missing?
If you want to integrate a system that is not listed here, drop us a line. Some integrations exist as prototypes, some as roadmap items, some grow customer-side via custom adapters on top of the open API.
