Groups
Manage and price group offers and sell them across all channels, with flexible resource control and availability configuration.
General configuration
An offer belongs to a museum and an offer category. It can also be assigned to an exhibition. These attributes are the basis for filtering and reporting.
An image can be uploaded for each offer. The image is exposed via the API and used in the online shop.
Offer categories
Offers must be assigned to offer categories. This enables filtering and also lets the offer inherit certain attributes from its category.
Prices and costs
go~mus offers several ways to define prices and costs for an offer. It always relies on so-called price-giving articles. These can come from a connected inventory system or be defined directly in go~mus, and they contain the price as well as the applicable taxes:
Flat price
Group offers are usually priced as a flat rate, meaning the price stays the same regardless of how many people participate.
Price per person, tiered prices
This pricing is most common for individual visitor offers, but can also be used for group offers. The booking price depends on the number of participants per price category or pricing tier.
Fee schedules
Some institutions use a usage and fee schedule, which defines prices and fees for offers based on certain parameters. go~mus lets you create such fee schedules and price your offers accordingly.
Surcharges
Regular pricing structures often have exceptions. One way to model these in the system is via surcharges. Surcharges can be defined as optional or mandatory and apply per group or per participant. You can also choose whether surcharges should be bookable in the online shop. There are surcharges on the price that customers pay and on the fee paid to guides.
Resource requirements
Unlike individual visitor offers, the bookability of group offers is not determined by predefined dates. It depends on the time-based availability and utilisation of all required resources.
Availability
Availability controls the basic time-based availability of resources. It is defined in blocks of 5-15 minutes. Availability rules allow highly individual control over the bookability of offers. Alternatively, availability can be fully blocked or fully released.
Limiting factors
In addition to availability, the bookability of offers can be controlled via so-called limiting factors. Like availability, limiting factors exist at all levels of resource management: for museums, exhibitions, rooms, offers and also for guides.
Sales control
go~mus supports selling group offers via the following channels: online shop, POS, backend, resellers. For each offer, you can define which channels may sell it. The sellability and validity periods can also be restricted.
Tagging
go~mus lets you freely define so-called constants within several categories. These constants can be assigned to offers (group and individual visitor offers) to categorise them and to enable filtering on the website, in the online shop and in the backend.
Public data
So-called public data fields let you maintain text in all enabled languages within freely definable fields. The text is then printed on PDF templates, shown in the online shop and exposed via the API.
